Kristen Bell’s daughter with husband Dax Shepard is on the road to recovery following a visit to the emergency room.
The Veronica Mars star posted on Instagram to share her experience as she took one of her daughters to the hospital after having her finger slammed in a door. According to the actress, this was their “first emergency room visit.”
“First emergency room visit. One hairline fracture and a finger smushed so hard in the door it popped like a jelly donut,” Bell wrote on the caption of a photo of herself and her daughter, whose face she kept hidden with an emoji as they both frown on the camera.
Bell sang praises for the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital for taking care of her daughter during their stay.
“Did you know that when you enter the emergency room at @childrensla you immediately get a ‘Child Life Specialist’ trained to make sure your child knows what happening? And to make sure you understand all of what’s happening and your choices? It made us feel so safe,” she wrote about the process of checking into the hospital.
“And @childrensla follows up the next day with a phone call to make sure all is well after the trauma. Excellent care all around. Thank you to all who helped my baby.”
The star noted that she refused to post photos of her daughter’s injured finger “because there was literally burger popping out all over and it [was] pretty gross.” Hopefully, all will be better for the mother and daughter soon.
