Kevin Hart makes first public appearance in People’s Choice Awards 2019

After being in a horrific life-threatening accident, comedian Kevin Hart finally made his first public appearance during the 2019 Peopleā€™s Choice Awards.

It was a surprising moment given that it was only this past September when Hart fractured his spine during the incident in Calabasas, California and needed to go into rehab.

The Comedian accepted the award for winning the best comedy act of 2019 and received a standing ovation from the audience after Robert Downey Jr. proclaimed him as the winner of the category. Hart shared in his speech that he was very thankful and has now have a new outlook and appreciation of life. He thanked his wife and kids who he mentioned to have ā€˜stepped up the plateā€™ for him during those trying times. He concluded by thanking and appreciating the fans who gave him their support after the car crash.

During the early hours of September 1st, Hart was in the passenger seat with two other people when the driver, his friend Jared Black lost control of his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, crashing into a tree after Blackā€™s attempts to take back control failed. The driver was not under any influence according to the police report.Ā

According to Fox News, the comedian had fractured his spine in three different places where he was hospitalized and needed to undergo rehabilitation. Hard recorded some of his rehabilitation sessions in an Instagram video that he posted last October 29th.

Hart said in the video that when God talks, you have to listen, showing that he was moving around with a walker and being assisted by health workers.

ā€œIn this case, I honestly feel like God told me to sit down. You know, youā€™re moving too fast, youā€™re doing too much. Sometimes, you canā€™t see the things youā€™re meant to see.ā€ the comedian said in the video which focused on his family life which included his children and his wife Eniko Parrish in the inspirational video.

He added that his new perspective in life and the newfound appreciation he has for it is through the roof. He told viewers to not take today for granted because tomorrow is not a guarantee.

Hart joins Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Colin Hanks in starring in the American fantasy comedy-adventure movieĀ Jumanji: The Next Level, the sequel to the 90s classic rebootĀ Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.Ā

Jumanji: The Next LevelĀ will premiere December 13th.
