It is a known fact that Brie Larson has always been very interested in being part of the Star Wars franchise. The Captain Marvel star has even posed cosplaying as a Jedi when she found out that Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige will be developing a new film for the Star Wars franchise.
With all the attention and activity surrounding the franchise, and with the release of the new The Rise of Skywalker trailer, there is now this rumor going around that Feige is considering casting Larson for his new project as none other than Anakin Skywalker’s former padawan, Ahsoka Tano as per Cosmic Book News reports.

For those who are not familiar with the animated series, Ahsoka was introduced as a young Togrutan girl who was gifted with the force and became Anakin Skywalker’s padawan with the latter not being amused with the wily girl at first. As the series progressed the two grew to learn how to trust each other and become good friends until Anakin’s descent into evil. After the events of the Clone Wars and Order 66 executed, Ahsoka escaped and resurfaced years later during the events of Rebels, now a full-grown woman. She was a vital piece for the Rebellion, having established networks for rebel cells to interact and work together to thwart the Galactic Empire.
The Togrutan force user has been a fan-favorite character for a very long time now and has had a huge following. Though not part of the original Star Wars trilogy, she was first introduced in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and followed by the TV series of the same name which aired from October 2008 to March 2014 spanning six seasons and made her return in Star Wars Rebels which had four seasons from 2014 to 2018.
Ahsoka also appeared in the LucasFilm animated web series Star Wars Force of Destiny through Disney’s YouTube channel from 2017 to 2018. She is also the title character for E.K. Johnston’s 2016 Star Wars audio book, which was narrated by actress Ashley Eckstein who has voiced her in all of the media that involves the character.
It would be interesting to finally see her in a live-action film, given that she has had a lot to do in the off-screen workings of the Star Wars universe. Ahsoka is the most popular Star Wars character outside the main franchise’s characters, and if Feige does end up using her for his future film, we hope that she is written and cast correctly, may it be Larson or another actress.
