Kevin Bacon is not happy about Trump’s “Despicable” environmental policies

Veteran actor Kevin Bacon slammed U.S. President Donald Trump last Thursday calling the latter’s environmental policies “despicable”

In an interview with Twitter morning show AM to DM, Bacon said: “I think it’s astounding how far we’ve gone backward since he’s been president in terms of environmental law,”

“I think this is the future of our planet,” he said.

The 60-year-old Hollywood veteran is not one to shy away from his opinions on President Trump and his administration. The actor turns to Twitter to voice out his opposing views against Trump.

In an interview with BuzzFeed news, the actors say that “the administration’s position on the environment is despicable.” But also express regrets that the environment had become a political subject.

“It blows my mind because in a lot of ways I think that the environment really shouldn’t be a political issue,” Bacon said regarding the issue. “This is the air that we breathe, the planet that we live on, this is the future of our lives and our children’s lives.”

Bacon, who is currently starring in the TV drama ‘City on a Hill’, has been an advocate against climate change. Despite living in the age of information Bacon believes that we are currently at an era in which “absolute hard facts of science are being constantly questioned.” This is something that President Trump has continuously done throughout his current presidential term.

Bacon’s latest project City on a Hill premiered online last June 7th and is about to premiere on Showtime tomorrow.
