Joseph Gordon-Levitt enters the podcast scene with ‘Creative Processing’

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is making his podcasting debut with podcast firm Cadence13 for the forthcoming ‘Creative Processing’.

The actor, known for his roles in Inception, Looper and 500 Days of Summer, wants to answer your questions about the creative process in his new podcast. Creative Processing will explore a wide range of varying aspects of the creative process.

Gordon-Levitt’s project, in partnership with Cadence13, will launch on August 19. A line-up of notable personalities in the entertainment industry will sit down as a guest for the podcast including Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Star Wars: The Last Jedi writer/director Rian Johnson and graphic artist Shepard Fairey.

The ten-part series will be debuting new episodes weekly from the launch date through October 22. Gordon-Levitt encourages listeners to submit their questions as discussions will be based on these queries. Other guests include Yuka Honda and Madisen Ward & The Mama Bear as well as casting director Mary Vernieu.

The actor said about the project, “I’m a big fan of the podcast format, because it provides enough time to have a real conversation.”

“In most media, you’re forced to speak in sound bites, so you can never dive very deeply into any particular thought or idea.”

The actor expressed his gratitude for the partnership saying, “It’s sort of funny how nowadays, at the same time as social media is making our attention-spans shorter than ever, podcasts have risen up to offer this long-form alternative. I’ve been wanting to try it for years, and I’m grateful to get the opportunity to do so with Cadence13.”
