Jason Biggs isn’t ruling out the possibility of another American Pie movie. In fact, he thinks about it all the time.
The actor is openly considering the possibility of returning to his American Pie roots admitting that he regularly contemplates where his iconic character would be today. Biggs discussed the matter in an interview with Us Weekly.
The 1999 American teen sex comedy saw Biggs star as Jim Levenstein — a horny teenager who enters a pact with his friends to lose their virginity before they leave high school. American Pie’s success paved the way to three sequels with the original cast reuniting for the last time in the 2012 comedy, American Reunion.
“We still talk about it,” Biggs said, referring to his castmate. “I haven’t entirely given up hope that we could do more of them. I think there is a world in which — if all of the things fall into place that need to fall into place — there’s a world in which we can make another one.”
Over two decades since American made its theatrical debut, the raunchy teen comedy continues to be a cult favorite. With reboots, remakes, and spin-offs appearing here and there as the entertainment industry banks on nostalgia, there’s no surprise if a fifth installment of the franchise comes up any time soon.
As if he wasn’t game enough, Biggs already has a concept for the fifth film.
“…I could end up being basically the Eugene Levy character and I’ve got a teenage son,” he said.
