WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming platform HBO Max has released its lineup of series. This includes both originals and widely popular shows. One of which is the cult sci-fi animated series, Rick and Morty. While fans were excited that they’ll be able to stream the show in yet another platform, they couldn’t help but wonder if the series will be pulled out from Hulu.
Well, now we have the answers. According to a report from Comicbook.com, Hulu has struck a deal with Rick and Morty’s home network, Cartoon Network. The arrangement grants Hulu distribution rights to existing seasons and 70 more upcoming ones. In addition, the deal will allow ad-free subscribers of the streamer to download episodes.
Rick and Morty will be available for streaming in both Hulu and HBO Max for the foreseeable future. This begs the question about the show’s sustainability for both providers, noting that the pace in which the seasons are released could be an issue.
With that being said, this is still good news for audiences who stay tuned on both Adult Swim, Hulu and soon-to-be subscribers of HBO Max. The streaming deals mean that showrunners will be creating new episodes for as long as they are demanded.
Creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are hard at work on the show’s upcoming season. It stars voice actors Justin Roiland, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell, and Spencer Grammer. Rick and Morty is slated for a series return on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim with its 4th season on November 10.
