A new adult animated series is coming to town and it is making Apple TV+ its home. “Central Park” is an animated musical series from the creator of the hit FoX show, “Bob’s Burgers.”

Creator Loren Bouchard (Home Movies and Lucy, Daughter of the Devil) first entered the animation industry back in 1995 for producing the series Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist which has earned cult status. In the same project, he worked with the star of Bob’s Burger’s H. Jon Benjamin.

Bouchard’s series about the endearingly odd Belcher family and their burger business found massive success on American television network Fox. It has been running for nine seasons with a tenth greenlighted by the network. Its feature film is also slated for a 2020 release. It’s safe to say that Bob’s Burgers’ popularity paved the way to Central Park.

According to the forthcoming show’s description:

“Central Park is an animated musical comedy about the Tillermans, a family that lives in, and are the caretakers of, Central Park. Owen, the park manager, and Paige, his journalist wife, raise their kids Molly and Cole in the world’s most famous park, while fending off a hotel heiress Bitsy Brandenham and her long suffering assistant Helen, who would love nothing more than to turn the park into condos.”

Musical numbers aren’t new to Bouchard, who is also a known musician. Most of his projects feature several musical numbers so the decision to make Central Park a musical series doesn’t come as a surprise for fans of his work.
