Hillary Duff just got married to Matthew Koma after almost three years of dating. The couple has a one-year-old daughter together.
Lizzie Maguire finally got her happily ever after. Well, in real life anyway. TMZ reported that the actress married her partner of almost three years in a private ceremony last Saturday in their Los Angeles home. Their wedding was attended by family and close friends.
A source spilled the tea to Just Jared and said that it was a small private ceremony and it was a lovefest. Hillary’s older sister Haylie and her son Luca were also in attendance.
The newly-weds met way back in 2015 when the actress was just a year removed from her breakup with then-husband Mike Comrie. Duff and Koma made their first public appearance together when they attended the 2017 SAG Awards and were seen again just a few days after the event cozying up to each other.
The Lizzie Maguire star gave birth to their first child, Banks Violet Bair, a baby girl on October 28th of last year. Koma decided to go for it and proposed to Duff eight months after their daughter was born, posting the important milestone on Instagram last May.
Entertainment Tonight caught up with the actress last Nov 7th where she said that they were both really excited and torn at the same time on where they will hold their ceremony. This is the second time that Duff has been married, marrying Mike Comrie, a professional hockey player in a luxurious wedding ceremony in California back in 2010 where the actress was just 22 years old and shared that a lot of things went wrong leading up to their wedding.
The couple chose the perfect time to get married before Hilary becomes very busy filming episodes of the Lizzy Maguire reboot that will be premiering next year 2020 on the Disney+ streaming site.
