Halle Berry on why she “would have been the perfect surrogate”

Halle Berry has only two kids but if it were up to her, she would’ve wanted as many as five.

The actress revealed her desire for a home full of children in a recent interview with InStyle. Berry was featured in the magazine’s 25th-anniversary edition. Speaking to the magazine the 52-year-old star says she “loved being pregnant”.

In fact, she loved it so much she “probably would have had five children” if she had “started earlier” in the race against her biological clock. The Hollywood star is a mother to daughter Nahla Ariela (11 years-old) and son Mace-Robert (5 years-old). While there are a handful of women dreading pregnancy, Berry shares that pregnancy was definitely for her if she wasn’t so busy in the film industry.

“Or if I hadn’t been busy trying to make movies, I would have been the perfect surrogate,” She adds. “All the hormones made me feel amazing. I was so alive with my purpose and my femininity. It felt like my body was doing what it was built to do.” Oh Halle, if only every woman experienced the same.

While most moms even shy away from showing their bodies with a growing baby bump, Berry reveals she “felt the sexiest” during pregnancy. The John Wick 3 star recalled that her first pregnancy was at age 40 when she graced the cover of InStyle the third time.

The actress known for her role as a Bond girl and as Storm from the X-Men films says that motherhood is “the best job”.
