Find out why supermodel Kaia Gerber has no time for love

Kaia Gerber is offering us a peek into the life of a next-generation supermodel.

Being a supermodel has its perks, and for Gerber that includes being featured on the cover of British Vogue’s October edition for her 18th birthday. But while some girls at the same age are out there young, fun and flirty Cindy Crawford’s daughter admits she doesn’t have time for that.

Gerber is a self-confessed old soul living “the life of a 70-year-old woman.” Her time is split between runways and photoshoots. When she isn’t posing for a picture or looking glamorous in fashion shows, she’s spending her time off at home and relaxing so the teenager doesn’t have a lot of time to chase after romance.

The model tells British Vogue:

“When I’m working, I don’t have the energy to even flirt with anyone. I’m sorry, I just can’t… But I’m not losing hope in all love forever. I have backgammon at my house, and that’s all a girl needs. When I’m home, I’m living the life of a 70-year-old woman… I’m an old soul.”

Gerber then reveals that she doesn’t mind living a completely different life from people her age. In fact, she reveals to the magazine that she felt it was “more intimidating to walk into school and be around people my own age” than to pose in front of a camera held by renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel at only 13 years old.

After all her approach to modeling is pretty straightforward saying, “I mean, I’m just standing there — how bad can I do?” And when you’ve won the genetic lottery with your mother being one of the most prominent supermodels in the fashion world, you can do no wrong.
