Brad Pitt is joining the many Hollywood A-listers to speak against United States President Donald Trump.
The Ad Astra star spoke to French news outlet Journal du Dimanche. During the interview, he was asked about what he felt on President Trump voicing out his plans to impose tariffs on French wine. The actor owns a vineyard in France with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie.
āI do not know,ā Pitt tells the outlet, pointing out that he did not āknow enoughā about the matter. The actor did not seem to think much about the issue saying: āI think we will always drink rosĆ© in the United States.ā
In addition to that, Pitt says notes that there are much more pressing issues at stake under Trumpās administration than the possible tariffs on French wife. āUnfortunately, itās almost anecdotal. Trump represents a much bigger threat on much more serious issues,ā he tells the newspaper.
Despite their highly-publicized divorce, Pitt and Jolie have continued their winemaking business. The pair acquired the Miraval Estate in Provence, France back in 2012. Their wines called Chateau Miraval has garnered awards and is known for its signature rosƩ that has been in the market since 2013. The revered beverage was constantly ranked as one of the best wines globally.
President Trump himself owns a winery in Charlottesville, Virginia.
This isnāt the first time Pitt spoke up against President Trump. Back in 2016, Pitt spoke about his disbelief that Trump was elected president in an interview with the New York Times magazine.
