Beyoncé has new music coming out for The Lion King remake

Beyoncé is dropping new music and the Beyhive is losing it.

After surprising fans with her Homecoming documentary on Netflix, the pop icon has more in store. On her YouTube channel, the songstress released a teaser for her own rendition of Elton John’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”.

And now, in line with her upcoming film The Lion King, it looks like we can expect new music coming up. The singer and actress is lending her voice to play Nala in the CGI live action remake. Aside from her acting prowess, Queen Bey will be gifting us with her vocals for the movie’s soundtrack.

The Lion King soundtrack will reportedly feature a Beyoncé original written especially for the film. Disney has released the lineup of tracks this week. While the list includes classics like Circle of Life, one song is labeled “TBA” for now. Fans suspect that this will be the new track from Queen Bey after. Speculations come after director Jon Favreau confirmed: “there’s a song she performed and wrote in the spirit of the production along with working with Lebo M., who’s part of it with Hans Zimmer.”

The esteemed director also said that Bey will come up with a little something with her own originality that will fit with the film. Knowing that she’s the ultimate recording artist, we’re sure that the song will be a bomb.

The Lion King will be released on July 19 while the soundtrack will drop in music streaming platforms on July 11.
