Brendan Gaffney – Cox Architecture

Brendan Gaffney graduated from the University of Queensland in 1990, winning the Karl and Gertrude Langer Prize for Architectural Drawing, as well as First Class Honours. He joined Cox Architecture in 1997 and became a Director of the practice in 2007. He has since become their Queensland leader in multi-residential architecture and advises the wider practice on directions and solutions in this field. Some of his renowned projects are Allisee on the Gold Coast, the Emporium Hotel in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley and Hamilton Harbour in Brisbane’s North Shore. However, he has also led the architectural teams for several significant unique projects such as the Brisbane Ferry Terminals Redevelopment, the RNA Industrial Pavilion conversion to the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane, and the Brisbane Powerhouse Centre for the Live Arts.
