Amanda Bynes reveals why she turned down DWTS

Amanda Bynes isn’t too keen on starting her career comeback with the show “Dancing with the Stars”. It looks like the former child star won’t be dancing off to win the mirrorball trophy anytime soon.

According to a source who spoke with Entertainment Tonight, the actress had been approached to join the show’s 28th season. First reported by Us Weekly, Bynes decided to ultimately pass on the televised dancing competition.

“An offer is made [to her] every single year,” the source tells the entertainment news outlet. It was further revealed that while she has been constantly offered a place in the show, “This time she entertained the conversation more than other times.”

The source then continued to say that this time, Bynes seriously thought about joining the show. It was implied that she had been offered a much higher fee to appear on DWTS than before.

Bynes reportedly received the offer when she had moved out of rehab and into a sober living home when talks to appear on the show began. This meant that the former Nickelodeon star would’ve been free to do the show.

“In the end, it’s not the type of comeback she’s looking for,” ET’s source explained. “If she were to go back into showbiz, she’d want to have a steady acting role.”

Bynes has been out of the limelight since she appeared on the cover of PAPER Magazine’s November issue from last year. In the magazine, she opened up about her plans to make showbiz come back and her struggles with drug addiction.
