It’s over when it’s over. Miley Cyrus caused quite a stir in the media with her whirlwind love life in the second half of 2019. Not long after she and her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth announced their separation, she was seen getting cozy with reality star Kaitlynn Carter.

Now, Miley and Kaitlynn’s highly publicized romance has come to a halt. The former reportedly broke things off to focus on herself. A source close to the 26-year-old songstress offered insight as to what’s going on. The source tells Entertainment Tonight:

“Miley loves her autonomy and is a free spirit. And she doesn’t plan to remarry anytime soon. Despite her breakup with Liam, she’s actually doing really well.”

Seven months into their marriage, Miley and Liam called it quits back in August. Ever the artist to sing about her personal woes, her recent hit “Slide Away” seemingly referenced her relationship with the actor. The singer was then seen on a getaway with Kaitlynn in Italy. Their relationship escalated from a summer fling to something a little bit more serious.

The pair were spotted in numerous public outings seemingly taking things to the next level. But before anyone could blink, Miley and Kaitlynn broke up.

“Miley leaned on Kaitlynn throughout the divorce and she felt that they moved far too quickly,” ET’s source adds. The insider also revealed that Miley finalized the decision which came as “a total shock” to Kaitlynn.

Now, Miley is reportedly healing from her relationship woes with the help of her family. She was recently seen spending quality time with mom, Tish Cyrus and her sister Brandi Cyrus.
