Sylvester Stallone trashes his second Escape Plan movie while promoting the third

Not a lot of actors can admit to themselves and more so the public about the worst movies they’ve made. However, Sylvester Stallone isn’t one of them.

Sly took to social media to tell the world how he really feels about Escape Plan 2. That is, while promoting the Escape Plan 3: The Extractors. The actor shared a clip of himself with director Jon Herzfeld. In the video, he compliments the filmmaker on his work for the third installment of the Escape Plan franchise.

In the caption the actor wrote:

“Here I am with my lifetime friend. and Director, JOHN HERZFELD , Who directed the upcoming film Escape Plan 3 – The Extractors ! Escape Plan 2 WAS TRULY THE MOST HORRIBLY PRODUCED FILM I have ever had the misfortune to be in.”

Yikes! Stallone’s words are truly scathing. But the actor did have praises for Escape Plan 3 writing:

“This new film was made in an extraordinarily short amount of time, 17 nights , dusk till dawn , no breaks , we ate while we worked!!!!”

“The crew were under unbelievable pressure. . Proud of them! But I wanted this battle be as realistic as possible. I showed up on the site for the big final fight scene that takes place in a very very old cell that is 9‘ x 7 … they had spent all this time choreographing this Martial arts type of combat.”

The first film in the Escape Plan series was released back in 2013. Dave Bautista and 50 Cent will be reprising their roles in the third film.
