Lizzo pulled off another epic performance complete with a giant inflatable butt at the 2019 MTV VMAs. Now, the “Good as Hell” singer reveals her NSFW exchange with Rihanna over Instagram DMs.

The singer made time for a little backstage chat after performing at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Lizzo gave some juicy details about her recent projects and the wild DMs she received from Rihanna.

Rihanna is under immense pressure from fans who have been waiting for her to drop new music. But Lizzo says fans like her need to let her take her time.

“I am not going to bother her, ’cause I know what that feels like, so I am going to let her do what she ought to do. I love Rihanna.”

The Fenty Beauty founder is apparently a fan of Lizzo and had to tell her about how she killed her VMA performance.

“She DM’ed me to tell me that I performed good,” Lizzo shared. “She said I f**ked the stage like it was my side b***h. Don’t get mad, Rihanna. I am not trying to blow up your spot, but that was a hard a** line! I might take that line.”

Not to get ahead of ourselves but a Lizzo x Riri collaboration is definitely something that should be put out into the world. For now, we can settle for a collab between the artist and Justin Timberlake.

“We had a lot of fun, we laughed a lot, he’s got great energy,” she tells about the artist. Can’t wait for the collab to drop!
