Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Frozen 2 stars Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell have been honored with their Hollywood Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame just a few days before the premiere of their animated film, Frozen 2 where they will be reprising their roles as sisters Elsa and Anna after six years when they starred in the 2013 animated hit Frozen.

During Menzel’s acceptance speech, she emotionally shared that never did she imagine that her name would be put beside other incredible names on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Menzel and Bell’s awarding ceremony was held at the eastern end of the Walk of Fame and was attended by Eric Garcetti, mayor of Los Angeles and Disney Studios boss Alan Horn.

When interviewed by press who were in attendance in their ceremony, Menzel and Bell claimed that the music in the sequel will be better than the first movie’s soundtrack which will have fans excited and looking forward to the movie.

Idina Menzel is a theater, television, and film actress who had her start starring in award-winning Broadway musicals such as Rent and Wicked where she both originated the roles of Maureen and Elphaba respectively. Her other theatre credits are playing Kate in The Wild Party, Sheila in Hair, Elizabeth Vaughan in If/Then among others.

Menzel also had a good start in her television career but found huge success when she starred in Glee as Shelby Corcoran. Her film credits show her reprising her role as Maureen in the 2005 film adaptation of Rent but attained global acclaim when she provided the voice for Elsa in 2013’s Frozen.

Kristen Bell is a television, film, and stage actress widely known for her television series, Veronica Mars where she stars as the titular character. She also provided the voice of the titular and mysterious character in Gossip Girl and was part of the main cast of Heroes as Elle Bishop.

Her film credits include Forgetting Sarah Marshall as Sarah Marshall, Beth in When in Rome, Chloe in Scream 4, Supergirl in Movie 43, and as Anna in Frozen. Bell made her Broadway debut as Becky Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in 2001. Other notable theatre credits are Susanna Walcott in The Crucible, Fredrika Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, and Shiela in Hair.

Frozen 2 stars Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, Josh Gad as Olaf, Sterling K. Brown as Lieutenant Destin Mattias, and Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Iduna.

Frozen 2 will premiere November 22th in North America and the U.K.
