Halsey ‘successfully quit nicotine’ after a decade of smoking

Halsey just announced reaching a personal milestone to fans last Thursday.

The Bad at Love hitmaker took to social media to tell fans she was finally able to kick the habit of smoking after 10 years. Halsey posted the exciting news on her Twitter where she wrote, “I successfully quit nicotine a few weeks ago after smoking for TEN years.”

The singer shared that she “gained a lot of weight” and believes she’s lost some of her friends forever presumably while she experienced nicotine withdrawal. Halsey then writes, “ I’m so happy I did it and I feel v goooood. just wanted to share.”

Fans received the news positively and were quick to send their support of the 24-year-old singer/songwriter. Many of them sent their congratulations for reaching her notable accomplishment. Others shared their own experience in quitting smoking in hopes to encourage other smokers to follow suit.

Influencer Andrea Russett replied to Halsey’s Tweet sharing that she kicked the habit “i quit a few months ago after smoking nicotine for 7 years and it’s incredible the differences i’m still noticing in how i feel.”

One Twitter user wrote to Halsey saying despite the struggle of quitting after regularly smoking for four years, “seeing you do it gives me even more motivation to do the same.”

Halsey is known to be very open to fans when it comes to certain aspects of her personal life. The 24-year-old singer is not one to shy away from discussing her mental health struggles since rising to stardom.
