Hailee Steinfeld’s fans have been clamoring for more from her since last year’s Bumblebee. Now that the trailer for her new series ‘Dickinson’ has dropped, we finally know what the actress and singer have been up to lately. And it doesn’t stop there, Steinfeld is set to release new music soon.

The Oscar-nominated actress appeared at the MTV’s 2019 Video Music Awards on Monday as a presenter. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she teased some exciting details about her upcoming projects.

Steinfeld started by saying eagerly saying that the teaser for Dickenson dropped on the same day. The star also addressed that she knows how fans have been wondering where she’s gone and what she’s up to.

“My fans have been like, ‘Where have you been?’ And, ‘What have you been doing?’ And, ‘Are you alive?’ So it’s so good to finally have a little sneak peek of the show finally out,” the actress said.

In the coming-of-age period comedy, Steinfeld stars as a promiscuous young Emily Dickinson. The show challenges gender roles and social conformity through the life of one of America’s greatest poets.

“It’s wild and it’s funny and it’s weird and it’s a little bit of everything, so I’m very excited about it,” she tells about her new show.

The exciting news comes with another one, Steinfeld will come out with new music very soon! Steinfeld reveals that she’s been hard at work in the recording studio since wrapping up filming for Dickinson. The singer says that she’s “been writing ever since” and describes her new music as fun, honest and fearless.
