The best flipping pancakes

  • 1 1/2 cup of plain flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups of full cream milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter


  • In a large bowl sift your flour, baking powder, sugar and salt together.
  • Make a little well in the centre and pour in your egg, melted butter and milk.
  • Stir it together until it is completely smooth.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat that is lightly oiled.
  • Pour out the mixture onto the pan using about a quater of a cup per pancake.
  • Flip the pancake making sure both sides are brown.
  • Serve them hot.
