Vanessa Bryant breaks her silence, goes public on IG

Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s wife, finally broke her silence days after the news broke that her husband and their teenage daughter Gianna died from a tragic helicopter crash.

After years of keeping her official Instagram account completely private, Vanessa made her account public for all to see. She then changed her display photo on the platform to honor Kobe and Gianna with a heartwarming photograph featuring the two locked in an embrace.

Vanessa then published a full statement on behalf of her family not long after her Instagram went public. She posted a beautiful family photo of herself with Kobe, their children Gianna, Bianka, Natalia and their infant daughter, Capri.

In the caption, the mother of four wrote thanked Bryant’s fans for showing their support during this devastating time.

“We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri,” she wrote.

Vanessa also mentioned the families of the seven others who died with Kobe and Gianna in the incident.

“We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately.” She encouraged the public to donate to the families and to support Kobe and Gigi’s legacy through their foundation.
