Trying to find a movie to watch is always a struggle. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home or going to the cinemas, the debate between friends and family as to which movie should be seen can be frustrating.
The start of 2018 appears to be blessing us with some of the best movies to be released in a long time. Many films are challenging society’s stereotyped characters and ideology making for intellectually challenging films.
With so many great movies to choose from, we thought it would be a good idea to help you out with a list of what we think are the best movies to be released in February.
The 15:17 to Paris
Clint Eastwood’s first film since Sully is another true story that highlights the themes of defiance and bravery. Eastwood has even casted the three American men who actually faced down the terrorists in real life. Sure to be a little eye-opening, this hits cinemas on Feb 9.
Peter Rabbit
A re-make of the light-hearted animation no doubt set to attract viewers of all ages. The film has a wealth of stars behind the characters with James Corden, Margot Robbie, Sia and Daisy Ridley all playing a role in this film that opens on Feb 9.
Fifty Shades Freed
The third and final part of the book series from E.L. James comes to cinemas on the 9th of this month and you can expect more of the same. More love and lust is to come in the last instalment making it the perfect Valentine ’s Day outing for you and your partner.
Black Panther
This has already received extremely positive reviews and is set to light up the Box Office. Chadwick Boseman stars as the Black Panther in this Marvel creation set in Wakanda. The hip-hop soundtrack is bound to highlight the action that premieres on Feb 16.
Early Man
From the makers of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run comes a British animation about a group of villagers taking on their enemy – the Bronze Age. Dug and his sidekick Hognob won’t be going down without a fit in this comedy that hits cinemas on Feb 16.
Annihilation
Alex Garland’s latest sci-fi movie following comes with anticipated hype after the success of Ex Machina. Natalie Portman plays a biologist travelling into an environmental disaster zone in an attempt to find out what happened to her husband. In cinemas Feb 23.
