LA court grants Aaron Carter restraining order against ex-girlfriend

90s tween heartthrob Aaron Carter filed and was granted a partial restraining order from Lina Valentina, his ex-girlfriend.

First reported by E! News, court documents revealed that Carter accused his ex of “physically assaulted” the singer on “several” occasions. He also claims that Valentina “has threatened to stab me several times and she carries a knife with her,” in the court filing.

Carter’s lawyer Jan Michael Morris released a statement regarding the issue. Speaking to the outlet, he says that a court hearing has been scheduled however the singer is “not pursuing the restraining order at this time.” He also said on behalf of Carter that the musician wants to move forward in life and has already “issues with Lina.”

While Carter is taking legal action, the attorney explains that “He wishes Lina the best” as he shifts the focus on his music career and his dedicated fans.

It hasn’t been long since the pop star went public with his breakup from the Russian model. Previously speaking to E! News Carter says that he hoped their relationship “would be the one that lasted forever” revealing that they even considered having children of their own at one point. Carter said the reason behind their breakup is irreconcilable differences that eventually turned their relationship toxic.

“I don’t have any regrets being with Lina, and I definitely learned a lot about myself. I think this decision was the mature thing to do,” Carter concluded his statement to the outlet.
On Twitter, Carter shared to his followers that he was enjoying life as a single man.
