Kylie Minogue makes a debut in the beauty industry after trademark battle against Kylie Jenner

Kylie Minogue launcher her own range of cosmetics under the name KYLIE after keeping Kylie Jenner from trademarking the name.

The Australian pop star launcher her KYLIE beauty products starting with “magnetic electric” eyeshadows.

The 51-year-old singer took legal action back in 2016 to keep Jenner from trademarking their shared name for “advertising and endorsement”. Minogue won the case in 2017.

While Jenner continued to release her Kylie Cosmetics products, Minogue has went on to unveil her own range of cosmetics. The unveiling was announced on the singer’s Twitter account complete with photos of the singer and the products. Minogue wrote in the Tweet:

“YES! ✨Get your #Summer2019 SPARKLE on! ‘Magnetic Electric’ eyeshadow in three colours to hypnotise! Head to MERCH(andise) at http://Kylie.com to see more!” See the post below:

A year after successfully winning the case against Jenner, Minogue told Rolling Stone that it was nothing personal saying: “I’ve never met Kylie Jenner. I’ve never met any member of the family — actually, I’ve met Kendall just in passing at a fashion event — but I honestly don’t know them,”

“It’s awkward, because fans get so loyal and vocal, and we love that! But it was nothing personal at all, I’m at pains to say.”

The singer continued, “Trademark is long, it’s boring, it’s expensive, and it’s really important. I’ve been doing that for years and years. It was just causing confusion with customers. As long as it’s clear, then we can all win.”

Prior to this stint in the beauty industry, Minogue has been selling merchandise under her name.
