Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman divorce finalized

Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman’s divorce has been set in stone after splitting back in 2015.

Wiseman, who is the director of the Underworld movies where Beckinsale was the lead actress, was the one who filed for a divorce back in 2016 stating that the reasoning behind his decision being ‘irreconcilable differences’ after a twelve-year long marriage to the actress People Magazine reported.

According to E! News, the former husband and wife duo first met during the first Underworld movie that jumpstarted its entire franchise back in 2003.

The source explains that Beckinsale and Wiseman are still amicable towards each other and still spent time together in Los Angeles when the actress was there. The source added that there has been no problems, no drama involved because it wasn’t the actress’s way of handling things. It just so happens that the two had a very busy work schedule and eventually grew apart from each other.

Prior to her marriage to Wiseman, Beckinsale was known to have had a long-term relationship with Michael Sheen who she shares a daughter (Lily) with. Just this year, Beckinsale has been linked to Saturday Night Live regular Pete Davidson after the comedian’s break-up with singer Ariana Grande.

The English actress has been popular in Hollywood for years now, starring in films like Serendipity, The Aviator, Click, Van Helsing, but is widely known for her portrayal of the character Selene in the Underworld franchise.

Beckinsale recently headlined the British TV drama The Widow alongside Charles Dance (Game of Thrones, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) and Alex Kingston (Doctor Who, Arrow) which was released in Amazon’s streaming platform, Prime Video. The actress is set to appear in El Tonto, a comedy film directed by comedian Charlie Day and in Jolt, an American action movie with Stanley Tucci, Laverne Cox, and Jai Courtney set to be released in 2020.
