Kanye West and Kim Kardashian-West’s love story has been told largely by the perspective of media covering their romance. Now, we’re getting details about the married couple’s love affair through their own words.

The rapper talked about the “magnetic attraction” he felt toward his wife when he fell in love with her in an E! True Hollywood Story clip. The television special that will tell the story of Kim Kardashian as the world’s most famous reality TV star will air on Sunday.

“Every time I was around her or I saw her, it was a magnetic attraction to this force of energy,” West explains of falling for his wife of five years. “She was good, pure, happy, loving, brave, courageous, strong.”

West and Kardashian began seeing each other back in the year 2012. However, they had already met 10 years prior. “We just always kept connecting and coming into each other’s lives,” Kardashian-West explains in the promotional clip. “And, then he invited me to Paris to his fashion show and that’s when it happened. That’s when we started our relationship.”

So did the entrepreneur ever have regrets about their relationship? Kardashian admits she had only one saying, “Then I was like, ‘Sh*t. Why didn’t this happen sooner?’”. “It was just right,” she adds. While she felt this way, the pair faced criticisms at the beginning of their relationship. Now, the couple shares four children, North, Chicago, Psalm, and Saint.
