Jumanji: The Next Level’s recent premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood boulevard was packed with stars. Among them are Nick Jonas and his brothers Joe and Kevin. While The Jonas Brothers certainly lit up the red carpet, fans are wondering why Priyanka Chopra wasn’t there to accompany her husband who stars in the film.

Nick offered a reason behind his wife’s absence and a sweet reflection on how they manage to make their marriage work despite their busy schedules.

“She’s in India right now, shooting a movie there,” Nick told Entertainment Tonight at the event. But Priyanka isn’t just bummed about not being able to be with Nick. As it turns out, the actress is a massive Jumanji fan.

“Although she’s jealous because she loves Jumanji. She loved the last one. And she really wanted to be here, but she’s got work,” Nick added.

As Priyanka continues her career in India Nick is on the road for the Happiness Begins Tour with his brothers. Despite the distance, the couple still manages to strike a balance between their marriage and their careers. So how does it work for them?

“…we have an incredibly beautiful balance in our lives and kind of an understanding of our priorities,” Nick explained of their current situation. “That’s the most important thing,” he added. Nick is definitely a busy bee recently. Apart from starring in Jumanji and kicking off a world tour with his brothers, he will also be coaching for the upcoming season of The Voice.
