From comedian to model: Pete Davidson makes his runway debut

Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson is more than a comedian now. Sure, he’s also known as pop sensation Ariana Grande’s ex-fiance and now boyfriend to actress Kate Beckinsale. However, you can now add ‘runway model’ to the man’s description. Whoever said the man was ugly, aside from the man himself?

Pete Davidson has embraced self-deprecating humor as he jokes about his perceived “unattractiveness”. But his recent dating history and modeling debut tell us otherwise. SNL is in its offseason and Davidson has plenty of time to pursue other things as you guessed it, walking the runway. The comedian’s first runway gig is on Alexander Wang’s spring 2020 show. It was held last Friday at the Rockefeller Center.

The fashion show featured Davidson sporting a white tank top displaying his many tattoos. The comedian also rocked acid-washed denim and black leather trousers, each leg of a different material. He was accessorized with a black baseball cap and a woven belt for added flair. The look wasn’t too much of a far cry from his signature sleaze-ball outfits. However, Alexander Wang managed to make him look the part of a model. Although the comedian off-duty didn’t look too comfortable on the runway.

Experienced runway supermodels joined him in the show. Notably, Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber.

In a live stream posted on Instagram, Wang said “We’re so honored to be here at Rockefeller Center. I love New York. It is my home. I feel so proud to be based here. It’s such an incredible city.” Since the designer is a native New Yorker, it was apt that fellow New York native, Davidson, appeared in the show.
