Nonesuch Distillery

Nonesuch Distillery is a family owned and operated distillery established by Rex and Annette in 2015. They believe that producing great spirit comes about because of the use of quality ingredients, the constant improvement of the process and the care they give to each batch during production.

Their distillery is located in country Tasmania on a working farm that has been in the same family for six generations. The story of how they came to be where they are is one of country helpfulness that reminds them that this area was settled and became prosperous (in colonial times) by such generosity.

Shene Estate & Distillery proudly produces Mackey Single Malt Whisky. Triple distilled and made from 100% premium Tasmanian malt barley and pristine highland water.

Anne and David have been conserving Shene Estate for over a decade. Shene Estate is the ostentatious country residence of early colonialist Gamaliel Butler. Shene’s colourful past has direct links with King George III, Governor Lachlan Macquarie and World Heritage Sites.
