Director Ridley Scott collaborating with Lady Gaga for her next feature film

Lady Gaga has been a celebrity music superstar for well over a decade now and has been dipping her tippy toes in acting every once in a while, having appeared on American Horror Story for its fifth and sixth season and just recently in A Star is Born opposite Bradley Cooper with the likes of Sam Elliot and Dave Chapelle being in the ensemble cast.

It looks like that the award-winning singer-songwriter has caught a more serious case of the acting bug as it has just been announced that she will be teaming up with director Ridley Scott for a second feature film with Lady Gaga as the top-billed actor.

Deadline reported that the film will be based on the Sara Gay Forden novel The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed, with the screenplay going to be developed by screenwriter Roberto Bentivegna.

Scott, being a prolific director giving us films like Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Prometheus and The Martian among other popular flicks over the years will now be able to sink his teeth into creating a film revolving around the Gucci fashion dynasty and the family behind it, with Gaga having the tall task of portraying Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio Gucciā€™s ex-wife who was convicted for the fashion mogulā€™s murder back in 1995.

Patrizia Reggiani was given the moniker the ā€œBlack Widowā€ for being portrayed as a woman who had anger and personality issues and this will be a total 180 from Gagaā€™s character in A Star is Born.

Ridley Scott also made it clear that he will start working on the untitled film adaptation after wrapping up The Last Duel starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon which he produced with his wife, Giannina Scott. The husband-wife duo will be shopping the film to Disney since their production company has a first-look deal with the Mouse House.

They have yet to release a date for this biopic nor other actors for its ensemble, but if Gaga delivers like what she did with A Star is Born having been nominated for both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards together with Ridley Scottā€™s genius, we can only anticipate for yet another biographical film that will surely make some noise in the film industry.
