“We came across Shambles Summer Ale on tap at Pearl and Co on Constitution Dock. Had a few sips, looked at each other and said “Whoa! What is that?” We are not beer experts and quite illiterate on that score but we had to come back 2 more times to get a fix of this ale that smells and tastes something like wildflowers??? Light, delicate and delicious! Unfortunately we cannot find it stocked anywhere on the mainland except Adelaide so I am telling you if you are visiting Tasmania, try it while you are there. Another great memory to add to your Tasmania collection and another serendipitous moment to savor when you are back on the mainland.” – Janita K.
Captain Blighs
Captain Blighs is a small Independent brewery based in Hobart producing a range of colonial ales, a heritage cider and beer jams. Head brewer, owner and chief bottle washer, Steve Brooks has taken his love of ale and history and combined them to produce small batch specialty ales for Tasmanian drinkers.
They exist to pay homage to Tasmania’s rich brewing history. They brew in one of Tasmania’s oldest brewery buildings.

T-Bone Brewing Co. is owned by Tom Bignell. Tom began brewing craft beer out of his father’s distillery at their family property ‘Belgrove’ in Kempton. It didn’t take long before T-Bone Brewing Co. was conceived, and it now sits prominently on North Hobart’s main strip.
