Hearts will be breaking everywhere as Hollywood heartthrob Chris Hemsworth announces his plans to quit showbiz.
You read that right. After his latest film, Men in Black: International, you won’t be seeing the actor any time soon. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the star revealed his plans of declining any movie roles this year. His decision was prompted by his desire to spend more time with his family in New South Wales.
“I just want to be at home now with my kids,” the Aussie actor revealed.
“They are at a very important age. They are still young and they are aware when I leave more than before”
The 35-year-old actor has two kids with his Spanish model wife, Elsa Pataky. His children are 7-year-old India Rose and 5-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan.

This isn’t the first time Hemsworth has addressed his concerns about his children. In an interview for with GQ magazine last year, the actor admitted that leaving his children is taking a toll on him. His daughter India Rose particularly was the most upset about him leaving.
“She’s normally like, ‘Yeah, see you, daddy. Cool.’ [This time] she was like, ‘Papa! Papa! Papa!’ She doesn’t always call me Papa, either,” he said at the time.

Since the past year, Hemsworth had been on set for 12 months of back-to-back filming. The actor played Thor in this year’s biggest blockbuster hit yet, Avengers: Endgame. His movie Men in Black: International will be showing in Australian theaters on June 13.
