Busy Philipps is seeking a new network for Busy Tonight after its cancellation

Busy Tonight isn’t going down without a fight. The late-night show host, Busy Philipps, is still accepting meetings for the show’s return.

The talk show was ended after E! decided not to renew it for another season. Busy Tonight only aired for one season in the network. However, it looks like it’s not the end. The Busy Tonight team is expected to make a comeback after Philipps revealed to Us Weekly that she is still taking meetings with other networks.

While attending the Aerie REALTreat event in Los Angeles last Saturday, the host told Us Weekly: “We’re still taking a bunch of meetings and stuff and we have people. It’s just a question of making sure that it’s the right place.”

The actress and talk show host admitted that E! “wasn’t the right place” for her audience at a wellness summit by In Goop Health last month.

“There is a need for, different voices to be in media, you know, talking about different types of things,” she said. “People want that. I just wasn’t at the exact right place for people to be able to access that and get it. So maybe we’ll figure out a better place for it to happen.”

Philipps made the announcement of her show’s cancellation where else but on Instagram Stories back on May 5. In the story, she wrote at the time “Here’s the thing, you guys. My show, Busy Tonight, is not going to continue on E! after May 16th.”

“They decided not to pick it up.” the star added.
