In Tibet and Nepal, the preparation and presentation of food is carried out with deep gratitude and respect. Thanks are offered not only for the various ingredients, but are also given to everyone involved in the production of the meal, from the rice grower through to the chef. This respect and reverence is one of the most important aspects of their chef Shankarā€™s cooking at the Kathmandu Kitchen.

Specialties of the house include steamed momo dumplings with a tomato and coriander chutney, and a fragrant Himalayan lamb korma cooked in coconut cream and 20 herbs and spices. For a unique way to finish off, customers can throw caution to the wind and try a slice of the chocolate chilli cake.
