The movies that are not to be missed from 2017

The year of 2017 has certainly been a roller-coaster ride for the movie industries around the world. There were movies which performed very well in box office and some who could not meet the expectations.

Here is the list of top five movies that are not to be missed from 2017:

Dunkirk

Dunkirk, directed by Christopher Nolan, is based on the true story during the Second World War in France. The story is about the evacuation of the allied troops who were trapped in land of Dunkirk.

The story shows the narration in three different threads, land, air and water. On land, we are kept in story through the struggle of young British shoulder named Tommy (Fionn Whitehead) until he is rescued.

The air part basically revolves around the air force including Farrier (Tom Hardy), who is fighting with the German bombers to keep the ground men safe.

The last thread revolves around the common English Sailor Dawson (Mark Rylance) and his son, who are headed to Dunkirk in their small yacht to help as much men as possible.

The best part about the movie is its screenplay and how Nolan has presented these three different threads giving their own individual narratives and time.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The latest movie in Star Wars franchise, directed by Rian Johnson, is a complete package. It has got emotions, actions and drama. The movie consists of rich characters and their performance is on the top notch.

Director has skillfully unfolded the story and crafted the emotions for the Star War fans.  The scene between Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) are one of the most exciting and holding part of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Thor: Ragnarok

The new movie of Marvel franchise, Thor: Ragnarok, directed by Taika Waititi is one of the wittiest movies. Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, has done a complete justice to the story line.

The director has done a brilliant job by bringing in the comedic zone in the movie. The part where the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) meets Thor will not only give you the series of laughter but also will remind you about the friendship of Thor and Hulk. In all and all, Thor: Ragnarok is a complete barrel of fun with some good action.

Logan

Logan makes up part of the X-men: Wolverine Series. It is not like the regular super hero movies with all the CGI effects but has the depth of emotions and drama.

James Mangold, director of the movie has presented the character Logan, played for the ninth time by Hugh Jackman, in more of a personal story, exploring the nature rather than the power.

He has well portrayed the vulnerabilities of the characters especially Logan and the professor Charles who are weak and weary. Logan is one of the finest performances of Hugh Jackman. He has gone to the depth of the character and made it alive.

Bahubali 2: The Conclusion

If you love a classic Indian movie, then this one is for you. Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, is the final part of Bahubali, directed by S.S. Rajamouli. This movie is the second highest grossing Indian movie worldwide.

Bahubali 2, answers one of the rising question that came out in the first part about why did Kattapa kill Bahubali. The story is predictable to some extent but it is the extravagant way of Rajamouli story telling and presentation that makes the movie so good.

The performance by the lead actors, especially Prabas as Bahubali and Rana Dagubatti as Bhallaldeva is mind blowing. The Bahubali team has spent 5 years in making of this saga and we can see this on screen. It’s a must watch movie of 2017.

Make sure you do not miss to watch these movies and wait for exciting upcoming movies in 2018.
