Dr Christopher Middleton has nearly 30 years experience as a Gastroenterologist. He completed his medical degree at University of Tasmania with internship and medical residencies at the Royal Hobart Hospital. His advanced training in gastroenterology was undertaken at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Hospital in Sydney. He worked in the north and north-west of the state for many years before returning to Hobart in 2011. He is currently Director of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Dr Rob Bohmer is a consultant general surgeon with a special interest in upper gastrointestinal, hepatopancreaticobiliary, oesophagogastric and laparoscopic surgery. He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Oesophagogastric and Hepatopancreaticobiliary Surgical Societies (ANZGOSA & ANZHPBA) and is a licentiate of the Canadian Medical Council (LMCC). He completed his medical training in South Africa and his surgical training in New Zealand, followed by sub-specialist upper gastrointestinal and laparoscopic training in Adelaide (with professor Guy Maddern) and in Scotland (with Sir Alfred Cuschieri). He performed the first Tasmanian laparoscopic colon resection (2002), laparoscopic liver resection (2010), laparoscopic stomach and pancreas resections (2011) and laparoscopic oesophagectomy (2012). His main work comprises of gallbladder surgery, hernia surgery, surgery for cancer and anti-reflux surgery. Mr Bohmer commenced consultant practice in Hobart (2002) based at the Hobart Private and the Royal Hobart Hospitals.

Dr Corrie Studd is the principal Gastroenterologist at Central Gastroenterology Hobart.
Dr Studd grew up on the North-West of Tasmania before moving to Hobart to study Medicine. After graduating, he worked in Australia and the United Kingdom, before undertaking specialist Gastroenterology training in Western Australia.
Dr Studd then completed a Doctor of Medical Sciences, sub-specialising in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He returned to Tasmania in 2012 and works in private practice and at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Dr Studd consults across all aspects of Gastroenterology and has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).He performs Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy and Capsule Endoscopy.
