The growth of online streaming services like Netflix and Stan has made it easier than ever to watch whatever you want, whenever you want, for as long as you want. As a result of this, many of us choose to binge watch a series rather than watch one episode at a time.

There is one main issue with this; there is so much to watch, and so little time! Until you have started watching something, it can be really difficult to know what is going to be good and what will be a waste of time.

With new shows being released so regularly, it can be easy to get caught up in what’s new and forget about some of the older programs. To help you remember some old favorites, here is a list of some of the best binge worthy shows of all time!

Lost

No list of shows to binge watch would be complete without Lost. In 2004 when the series’ first aired, it was the thing to be watching, and it kept viewers captivated up until it finished in 2010.

In a nutshell, Lost follows a group of strangers who survive a plane crash and end up on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere. The island is not all it seems, and things take a strange turn pretty quickly.

Even years on, people are still arguing about the ending of the show, and if something has that much of an impact it is certainly worth a watch.

Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks first hit screens in 1990 and only ran for a year, in which time 30 episodes were released. Although it is an older series, it can definitely still compete with the newer shows we all love to watch for hours.

Essentially, the show is a mystery drama set in a little town in Washington. The story is based around an FBI agent who visits the town after a homecoming queen is found dead on a riverbank.

The great thing about Twin Peaks is that, unlike many shows, it doesn’t drag on for multiple seasons. With 30 episodes you can get your fill without committing months of your life to it.

Friends

If you aren’t a fan of mysteries and want something a bit lighter, Friends could be for you. This is a cult classic that everyone has heard of and probably watched at one time or another. The show ran for ten years in total, between 1994 and 2004.

The show follows six best friends who live in New York and watches them deal with the struggles of work and relationships.
