Mile End Bagels

Mile End Bagels is the first wood-fired bagel oven in Australia. Hand-built by Canadian stonemasons – it’s the real deal. Their bagels are boiled in honey water and then baked in wood-fire to achieve the perfect bagel – a little crunchy, a little chewy with a hint of sweetness – like no bagel you’ve had before in Melbourne. It began with two friends determined to bring the perfect bagel experience. The pair jumped on a plane, skipped New York and landed in Canada for a crash course in all things bagels. After plenty of early mornings, uncomfortable hostel beds and thousands of sesame seeds later Mile End was born.
