Aaron Carter on his battle against multiple mental health disorders

90s teen heartthrob Aaron Carter opens up on his struggles with multiple mental health diagnoses.

The 31-year-old singer made his way on the American talk show The Doctors. In the clips released exclusively to Entertainment Weekly, Carter is seen listing down his illnesses and medications. This includes multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety, and manic depressions.

As for his prescriptions, Carter pulls out a bag containing his medications. ā€œIā€™m prescribed to Xanax, Seroquel, Gabapentin, Hydroxyzine, Trazodone, Omeprazole,ā€ Carter says on the show.

ā€œThis is my reality ā€¦ hi,ā€ he said as he pulled out the bag of prescribed drugs. ā€œI have nothing to hide.ā€

The showā€™s host Dr. Travis Stork then examines the drugs. During which time, Carter tells the audience that he hasnā€™t been on opioids. He then retracts his statement saying ā€œOh no, no. I did. I got my teeth done, I got six crowns, so I had to take Hydrocodone.ā€

Another clip shows Dr. Stork holding Carterā€™s drug test results while he says ā€œAaron tested positiveā€¦ā€ for drugs that will be revealed when the show airs.

The clip also teased the results of Carterā€™s drug test on the show, with Dr. Stork sharing that ā€œAaron tested positiveā€ for a drug which will later be revealed.

Besides Carterā€™s revelations, the singer also appeared on the show with his mother, Jane Carter who suffers from a severe drinking problem. Carter reveals in the teasers that he wants The Doctors to help with his momā€™s road to sobriety and save her life.
